Lollingdon Hill - SOLD

Lollingdon Hill

Lollingdon Hill is a gentle gradient separating the Astons and Cholsey Village, accessible via a small and old footpath. It slopes out towards the Berkshire Downs and is a well known landmark around these parts.

Lollingdon Farm was the home of the famous poet John Masefield and his series of poems titled 'Lollingdon Downs' were dedicated to this scenic area.

A Poem by John Masefield.

8 LOLLINGDON DOWNS

"Earth, give us the corn, Come rain, come sun, We men who have been born Have tasks undone. Out of this earth Comes the thing birth, The thing unguessed, unwon".
