The Barrow

Brightwell Barrow near Wittenham Clumps.

The Barrow

The Brightwell Barrow is the hill to the side of Wittenham Clumps in Oxfordshire.

This is actually a Bronze Age round barrow in the parish of Brightwell-cum-Sotwell in Oxfordshire.

It lies just under a kilometre from Wittenham Clumps. It's marked clearly on the landscape by a small clump of trees on its peak.

Paul Nash's etching titled 'Wittenham Clumps' - probably referenced from the same place on Castle Hill looking out at Brightwell Barrow.
