Anna Dillon - Landscape Artist

I was born in Berkshire in 1972 and grew up in Wiltshire and Oxfordshire near Avebury, The Uffington White Horse Hill and The Ridgeway.

The unique and ancient countryside of the British Isles and Ireland continually inspires me to paint vibrant and colourful landscapes. As someone who enjoys long distance walks, travel and exploration I am determined to visit and paint as many landscapes as possible within my life.

Photographing Silbury Hill

I’ve divided my work into counties (The Devon Series, Berkshire Series) and I aim to research and produce a collection of paintings of special places of interest in each location.

As a painter I have developed my style using bold and strong colour which reflect the form, contours and light of the land. I paint with thin layers of oil paints, built up gradually and slowly. This technique produces a rich deep colour.

My work is regularly exhibited at various galleries throughout the South of England. I also have work in private collections around the world from Australia to Finland. Four of my decorative paintings were donated as a gift for his Royal Highness Sultan Qaboos of Oman in the Middle East.

Most of my original paintings are also available as Giclée Prints and I also produce a selection of greetings cards which can be bought online from my website.

I also send out a bi-annual newsletter with updates on any exhibitions I have in the pipeline.
