The Cherhill Sweep

This painting is a commission from an area in Wiltshire near Calne. Cherhill Monument is a well known landmark in this area and stands tall on the Cherhill Downs.

This monument is the 'Lansdowne Obelisk' which was placed on the hillside around 1845 It's 125 feet tall and is belongs to the National Trust.
